About

I am a professor of Computer Science at the Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT), where I teach digital systems and computer architecture and lead the Computing Systems Efficiency Research group (CSER).

My research is about making computing systems more efficient by accepting small, controlled errors in their results. I design approximate hardware accelerators for FPGAs and study how high level synthesis tools can choose where to approximate, so that a design meets its accuracy target with the least area, power and energy.
